1. Spiro and Janette Giannotis moved to Scalabrini Independent Living at 5 Mary Street Drummoyne about 18 months ago. They were a lovely couple and joined the Scalabrini Community with ease. They often danced during the musical presentation at the village and Spiro soon gifted his gardening talents to the maintenance of the olive trees, herb garden and vegetables. Spiro will be missed by our small Scalabrini Community. We extend our sympathy to Janette, Adam, Luke and their partners.

3. I had the fortunate experience of spending six blessed months living with Spiro, Janette and Luke in 2012/13 in the iconic Blake street abode. These memories are so very special as I got the opportunity to talk, share food (nothing will ever beat Spiro’s spinach pie!), swim, have a trip on the boat and so much more with Spiro and the Giannotis clan.

   Spiro’s spirit was huge but gentle, kind and fun-filled. I will miss his laugh, the twinkle in his eye and seeing his zest for life that never failed him.

   The world is a bit dimmer now, but the heavens shine even more brightly because they have you now, Spiro.

4. Jan, Luke & Adam
   Difficult to find the words to adequately describe your Spiro. He was “Larger than Life” – a true gentleman, dedicated husband and father, great friend, full of fun !
   Many happy memories of our times at Rose Bay, with Malcolm, for birthday celebrations. Wonderful times at CQ camps.
   He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

5. We meet Spiro & Janette at our Aunties house, Helena Bogue when we visited Australia in September. Luke & Simone live next door. Spiro was actually tending to Lukes olive tree. We feel very blessed to have meet Spiro on one other occasion before we left for Melbourne. We would like to extend our sympathies to Luke & Simone & the extended family, Adam & Jeanette. I feel we honour the memories of those who have passed, by remembering how they lived not how they died. Spiro lived & love life.

6. We have great memories of sharing a table with Spiro and Jan on our weekly ballroom dancing nights at Willoughby, Forestville and Lindfield over many years. Always fun company and provider of wonderful home grown produce. A real gentleman, sadly missed.

9. Spiro never failed to make everyone feel welcome, no matter who they were. He never failed to make you laugh, share a drink or two, or make you the most delicious food you’ve ever had. He had so much love for everyone and it was beautiful to see that love returned twofold to him. We will all miss you Spiro.

10. Spiro was a lovely man, our dance evenings at Forestville RSL were always enlivened by his presence. His enthusiasm for life was an inspiration. I send my sincere condolences to Jan and his family.

11. So sorry to hear of the loss of Spiro – a truly amazing man who touched the lives of so many. We met Spiro and Janette through Luke and Simone, and had the privilege of going cruising with them. Our sincere condolences to you all. He will live in your hearts forever
