  4. A beautiful man with the soul of an angel and the strength of a lion

You were the heart of our family — steady, kind, humble, and full of quiet wisdom.

You loved without limits, and lifted those around you without ever asking for praise.

To be loved by you was life’s greatest gift.

We were truly blessed to have walked this journey with you.

Though you’re no longer by our side, your spirit lives on — in every laugh, every lesson, every act of love.

You will always be with us, carried in our hearts, missed beyond words, and remembered with every breath.

Our superhero. Our guiding light. Forever loved. Never forgotten. ❤️

  5. Rest in the eternal light and glory of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and his promised Holy Kingdom our beautiful Father. Free of pain, suffering and despair – your pain becomes ours now; this is the true price we pay for Love.

You loved our Mother without condition and gave us kids a chance to be part of a complete and loving family when hope was lost. You devoted more than half of your earthly life to us, each and every day and guided us to adulthood.

We will follow in your example of strength and learn to pick up the pieces now and carry you in our hearts forever and Jacky and I will continue to make you proud and honour you in everything we do – this is a promise.

Goodbye for now, I know we will meet again, our Father, our Superman, our Everything.

    Eternally with us,
    George and Jacky

  6. Papou,

It still doesn’t feel real that you are gone. I keep seeing you every time I close my eyes and hearing your sweet voice calling me Ally Mou.

I miss your cuddles, you gave the best hugs. It was as if you poured all of your love into them, letting each person know how much you loved them. I know you wouldn’t want us to be sad, so I’m trying to re-wire my brain to treasure the memories I had with you instead of grieving your absence.

There’s a quote that reminds me of this “What is grief, if not love persevering.” How lucky are we to have had your love for as long as we did.

Thank you for sitting with me on the steps of Maroubra after taking me to the corner store for lollies. I won’t be able to look at watermelon bubblegum without thinking of you.

Thank you for always showering me with love even as your list of grandkids got longer and I was no longer the only one.

Since you have passed I’ve had so many people tell me how much you spoke of me to them. Thank you for loving me even when I wasn’t around to hear it.

I know you’re in heaven and chatting with my Papou Jim again and I miss you both so terribly. I know you’re both talking about the lives you lived and the people you both loved. You both would do anything for family.

I hope you are laughing and playing tavli while drinking your coffee.

You will be missed so terribly, and life will not be the same without your light in it.

    Love you always Papou x

  7. To my hero,

The man who bought and taught me how to ride my first bike, taught me how to give change for my first job, who would buy flowers to have thrown on me as I danced Greek at the horos, who taught me how to use a komboloi when I was so intrigued everytime I saw him pull his out. The built in builder who would help renovate whatever my heart desired. The man who tried to teach me how to play the bouzouki while watching ‘Let’s Go Greek’.

A loving and kind man who was so loved by everyone around him. I will always hear your voice, kissing my hands and forehead telling me how much you love me.

I still picture you playing your bouzouki with your raised eyebrow, that always made me laugh. Being able to take you to dinner to watch bouzouki players towards the end is a memory I will never forget.

Saying goodbye to you is the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do. You were so strong to the end and I will miss you forever.

There’s too many things I want to say to you, but those are a few memories I hold dear to me. Thank you for everything you did for me. I will forever be grateful to have had you in my life.

    Love you always and forever,
    your Simina xx

  8. To a truly remarkable man. Your kindness, generosity and love for your family will truly be missed. I thank god that I was lucky enough to be a small part in your life and will always treasure the times we had together. Thank you for being the man you were.
